I don’t know where I am. I just know I’m running. Sometimes it’s like I’ve lived a thousand lives in a thousand places. I’m born, I live, I die. And always there’s the Doctor. Always I’m running to save the Doctor. Again and again and again. And he hardly ever hears me, but I’ve always been there. Right from the very beginning. Right from the day he started running.
#i knew it i knew it i knew it #ghost stories about ghosts who aren’t really ghosts #with a monster waiting at the end that was the doctor all along #he was so obsessed with what clara was; all these ghosts of the same girl who died over and over #and all along he was the one leading her to it; to her doom; to what scattered her #leading clara; clear eyed clara the compass who threw herself into his timeline to guide him home again #but she was also the one leading him; through all his lifetimes; a feedback loop #that between the created and recreated the doctor as he wanted to be; as she wanted him to be #which led us right to the end; face to face with the one who escaped all that; the one who was disowned for not being the Doctor #the monster at the end of Clara’s ghost story #the doctor all along; the dark mirror staring back; that was pulling the strings; the cause of the vendetta against the doctor #that led Clara to scatter herself through the timeline #i said it i said it; it was the doctor who created the ghost story of clara; the doctor was the monster at the end of her tale #just a man he refuses to acknowledge as doctor; for his monstrosity #and soon the doctor will have to face him; just like in all ghost stories; they aren’t over until you see the true face of the monster #staring back at you; wearing your own
